- The time control is normally Game/1:55 (all moves played within one hour and 55 minutes), with one rated game per night. The standard and preferred clock for our 'Regular' and 'Quick' rated events is one with five second time delay (i.e., the game clock does not start for 5 seconds).
- Digital clocks are preferred to analog clocks.
- For standard events, both analog and digital clocks are to be set at Game/1:55. Analog clocks should be set at 4:05 so that the fllag falls at 6:00.
- On occasion, the club holds one night 'Quick' rated events with several games in one night and time controls of Game/15 minutes to Game/25 minutes. Also, the club occasionally has one night unrated 'blitz' (G/5) events with 8 or more games in one night.
- The club provides 4 to 5 analog clocks for players to use. But, bring your own clock if you have one.
