Entry Fee
One $45 entry fee entitles you to play in a 3-month tournament session or $25
per tournament. $5 discount for La Palma residents.

Tournament Details
The 5-Round Tournament
A 6-round Swiss in one section.
Prizes: 1st Place $75. Choice of $15 or trophy to each of the following:
Shortest Game, 15th Place, Best U1950, U1750, U1550, U1350, and U1150
Time control: Game/120.
Byes: One half-point bye may be taken. An irrevocable last round half-point bye is allowed only if declared before the first round starts.
We Three Kings
A 3-round Swiss in 2 sections with accelerated pairings (first round).
Prizes:
One Section (over 1625*): 1st $35, U1900 Trophy, and U1800 Trophy
The Other Section (under 1625*): 1st $25 + Trophy, U1500 Trophy, and
U1300 Trophy
* If you are rated exactly 1625 you can choose the section you want to play in.

The 3rd Annual Undisputed Milky Way Championships
A 5-round Swiss in one section.
Prizes:
Registration:
6-7pm. Rounds start at 7pm.
1st $75 (+ trophy and title of “The
Undisputed Champion of the Milky Way”), 2nd $50, 3rd $30, U1900 Trophy, U1700
Trophy, U1500 Trophy, and U1300 Trophy
Biggest Space Advantage (of the
tournament) $20 (submit diagram of position, highest rated player judges)
Best Nova (anyone that owns and drives a Chevy Nova to the tournament) $20
(limited to first to claim)
Best Alien (highest score of person not from Earth, must have documentation)
$8.25
Shooting Star (the person who gains the most rating points in the tournament)
$10 (as computed by Mike's computer (not USCF's)).
