Spring Session 2015 (April 3 through June 12, 2015)
Entry Fee
$45 for the session (includes both tournaments). Or, $40 for The Club Championship, and $35 for the Chess Stress Test. All fees $5 less for La Palma residents.

Tournament Details
26th La Palma Club Championship
A 7-round Swiss in one section.
Registration: 6-7 p.m. Rounds start at 7 p.m.
Prizes: Made possible by a generous donation from Dr. Harold Cardinal Valery
1st. Place, $500 and championship title
2nd. Place, $200
3rd. Place, $50
Perfect 7-0 Score, $100
Best game (as judged by IM Jack Peters), $50
Trophies for best under 1700, best under 1500, and largest rating gain
Time control: Game/1:55, d/5
Byes: Two half-point byes may be taken. An irrevocable last round half-point bye is allowed only if declared before the first round starts.
The Chess Stress Test
4–round Swiss in two sections
Sections:
Sections will be based on ratings and the list of entrants will be halved before round one.
Later entrants will be placed into the section covering their ratings.
Prizes:
1st place, Upper Section, $50
2nd. place, Upper Section, $25
1st. place Lower Section, $50
2nd. place Lower Section, $25
Either Section: Special prizes for biggest upset, shortest win, longest win, and largest
rating gain.
Registration: 6-7 p.m. Rounds start at 7 p.m.
Time control: Game/1:55, d/5
Byes: One half-point bye may be taken. An irrevocable last round half-point bye is allowed only if declared before the first round starts.
