Fall Session 2013 (Sept. 6 through Dec. 27, 2013)
Entry Fee
$45 for the session (includes all three tournaments). Or, $40 for the The Indian Summer Classic; $35 for the Marcel Duchamp Memorial; and $30 for the Holiday Ladder Matches.
All fees $5 less for La Palma residents.

The Indian Summer Classic
A 7–round Swiss in one section.
Registration: 6-7 p.m. Rounds start at 7 p.m.
Prizes:
1st place: $600
2nd.: $300
3rd : $150
Perfect 7-0 score: $100
Best Indian Defense Game (As judged by IM Jack Peters): $25
Biggest Scalp (biggest upset): $20
Shortest win: $20
Special prizes for Best under 1800, 1600, and 1400

Time control: Game/120, d/5
Byes: Two half-point byes may be taken. An irrevocable last round half-point bye is allowed only if declared before the first round starts.
Marcel Duchamp Memorial
“Not every artist plays chess, but every chess player is an artist”
5–round Swiss in two sections. Upper Section: Players rated 1800 or above;
Lower Section: all others.
Registration: 6-7 p.m. Rounds start at 7 p.m. Note: club will be closed on Nov. 8 and Nov. 29
Prizes, both sections:
Prizes, each section: 1st place, $75;
2nd place: $30
Combined sections: Best game: $20
Special prizes: Biggest Upset and Shortest Win
Time control: Game/120, d/5
Byes: One half-point bye may be taken. An irrevocable last round half-point bye is allowed only if declared before the first round starts.
Holiday Ladder Matches
A 3-round ladder tournament, paired by rating.
Registration: 6-7 p.m. Rounds start at 7 p.m.
Prizes: Each perfect score: $25. Special prizes for best game and shortest win.
Time control: Game/120, d/5
Byes: None.
