Fall Session 2014 (Sept. 5 through Dec. 26, 2014)
Entry Fee
$45 for the session (includes all three tournaments). Or, $40 for The Indian Summer Classic; $35 for the Godzilla Chess Rampage; and $15 for the Holiday Ladder Matches. All fees $5 less for La Palma residents.

Tournament Details
The Indian Summer Classic
A 7-round Swiss in one section.
Registration: 6-7 p.m. Rounds start at 7 p.m.
Prizes:
1st place: $200;
2nd: $100;
3rd: $50
Best Game (as judged by IM Jack Peters): $20. $5 bonus if the game is an Indian Defense
Special prizes for Biggest Scalp (biggest upset); Best under 1800, 1600, and
1400.
Time control: Game/1:55, d/5
Byes: Two half-point byes may be taken. An irrevocable last round half-point bye is allowed only if declared before the first round starts.
Godzilla Chess Rampage
6–round Swiss in two sections
Note: club will be closed on Oct. 31, Nov. 7 and Nov. 28
Sections:
Grandmonster Section: Players rated 1800 or above
Little Green Lizard Section: all others
Prizes:
Each section: 1st place $75;
2nd: $30
Combined sections: Atomic Breath Award (best game as judged by IM Jack Peters): $20
Special prizes, each section:
Godzilla Choker (biggest upset); Godzilla Burp (shortest win); and Complete Obliteration (winner has totally destroyed all
his or her opponent’s pieces and pawns except for a checkmated King)
Registration: 6-7 p.m. Rounds start at 7 p.m.
Time control: Game/1:55, d/5

Holiday Ladder Matches
1-round ladder tournament, paired by rating.
